Tatcha Skin Care, Summer Favorites, Japanese Skin Care, Sephora

My favorite things this month are these Tatcha skin care products. For years I used Lancome products and I stayed true to the brand and never really ventured to try something new because it wasn’t giving me a reason to. The face wash, serums, eye cream, and moisturizers I was using didn’t give me any issues but it didn’t noticeably make a difference in the look or feel of my skin. After about a year of product swapping and brand hopping, I decided to try the Tatcha skin care. I purchased a travel size starter kit at Sephora and used nothing but those items for 2 weeks. I was amazed in just the first couple of days at the texture of my skin. I have combination skin, oily around the nose and dry patches on my forehead and chin. I firmly believe in purchasing smaller travel sizes before investing in full size products, not only because it would be a waste of your money if you found that you didn’t like it but worse if you were allergic to any of its ingredients. This month I went for it and purchased Polished – Rice Enzyme Powder, Essence – Plumping Skin Softener, The Water Cream, Luminous – Dewy Skin Night Concentrate and I still had some of the Pure – Camellia Cleansing Oil. These products have transformed my skin. I no longer have patches of dry or oily skin. For the first time in my life, my entire face feels smooth and hydrated. The products are effective without being heavy on the skin, which I appreciate seeing as how it’s hotter than hot outside right now.

There are a few things I could say about the user friendliness of the packaging. I personally like products that have pumps to make it easier and quicker to use during those morning and night wash sessions. The Water cream and the Night Concentrate are in jars that come with a very bougie golden spatula to scoop the product out and while this was fun at first it definitely gets old after a while. I’m not in the product manufacturing business so for all I know there is a very good reason why these are packages the way they are, I’m just tellin ya what I like. These products are also on the pricier side but after having used them for over a month now, I’ll tell ya it’s worth it to me.

If you would like to read more about the Tatcha brand I encourage you to check out their story.
